Right Direction Group opened its doors in Nashville in September 1995. The company, originated by its owner Jim Purdy, was established to help aspiring recording artists, songwriters and musicians with their musical goals and aspirations.
Since opening its doors, RDG has established business and working relationships with some of the most prominent executives in the entertainment industry. These colleagues and friends include award winning recording artists, record producers, talent managers, booking agents, major record label representatives, recording studios, hit songwriters, music publishers, session musicians, show promoters and top entertainment attorneys.
As RDG maintains its honest reputation, the company continues to prosper in the entertainment field, and as our track record proves, we are a company that remains grounded and focused.
Although its primary focus is music, Right Direction also represents a select group of actors. The company has ongoing day to day working relationships with some of the higher echelon talent agencies, acting coaches and casting directors in New York City and Los Angeles. RDG often attends major talent showcases in the US and Canada, where we continue to scout singers, songwriters, groups and actors.
Our music workshops and seminars have helped many recording artists, songwriters, entertainers and actors with the continuing growth and development of their careers.
The company’ specializes in artist development, management and productions. We have established an impressive client base for productions of demo projects for independent artists. With our quality productions and reputation, it did not take long for the company to broaden its production horizons in producing master demos and custom albums. Although our main stream is in the country music market, our other productions have included Christian, R&B, Pop, and Rock & Roll.
Jim Purdy’s name as a producer took a giant leap in 2003 when he took the role of executive producer on projects co-produced by his long time friends and colleagues Darran Smith, (Tim McGraw’s co-producer), and Dino Pastin, producer, and former member of the group Alabama, and Barbara Mandrell.
In November of 2005 Jim Purdy became one of the newest members of the prestigious Country Music Association. He has established ongoing working relationships with Sony Nashville, Virgin/Capital (New York City), Warner Brothers, as well as various reputable independent labels.
